Pinfa-NA Announces New Board Leadership Effective July 1, 2026

Pinfa-NA is pleased to announce the election of its new leadership team to the Board of Directors, effective July 1, 2026. Please join us in congratulating our newly appointed Chair and Vice Chairs, whose expertise and leadership will help guide the organization as it continues to advance education, advocacy, and industry collaboration related to phosphorus, inorganic, and nitrogen flame retardants (PIN FRs) across North America.

Chair: Shannon Gainey

Director of Global Regulatory Management, J.M. Huber Corporation

Pinfa-NA is proud to welcome Shannon Gainey as Chair of the organization. In this leadership role, Shannon will help guide Pinfa-NA’s strategic direction, support board and committee initiatives, and represent the organization in key industry and regulatory discussions.

“I am honored and excited for the opportunity to serve as Chair of Pinfa-NA,” said Shannon Gainey. “I look forward to working alongside our Board, members, and industry partners to continue advancing the important role of phosphorus, inorganic, and nitrogen flame retardants in improving fire safety. Together, we will build on Pinfa-NA’s strong foundation by supporting education, collaboration, and regulatory awareness across North America.”

Shannon brings extensive regulatory expertise and a strong understanding of the evolving landscape surrounding flame retardant technologies. Her leadership will help continue to highlight the critical role of PIN FRs within the industry while strengthening awareness of regulatory developments impacting the North American market. As Chair, she will also help drive member engagement, educational initiatives, and advocacy efforts that support Pinfa-NA’s mission.

Vice Chair: Margaret H. Baumann

Maggie Baumann has been an integral part of Pinfa-NA since its inception. As an original member, she played a foundational role in helping build the organization into what it is today.

Maggie is widely respected throughout the industry for her longstanding support of PIN FR technologies and her many contributions to the flame-retardant community. As Vice Chair, she will support the Chair in advancing organizational priorities, assist with strategic initiatives, and help foster continued collaboration among members and industry stakeholders. Her deep institutional knowledge will be invaluable as Pinfa-NA continues to grow.

Vice Chair: Carolyn Pressley

Regional Vice President, Americas, Budenheim

Carolyn Pressley previously served as Chair of Pinfa-NA for two years, during which she helped lead significant organizational growth and oversaw the launch of the association’s highly successful webinar series, as well as other outstanding initiatives.

Pinfa-NA is grateful that Carolyn remains an active and influential leader within the organization. In her role as Vice Chair, she will continue to support the Chair, contribute to strategic planning, and help expand Pinfa-NA’s educational programming and industry outreach efforts. Her leadership experience and ongoing commitment will remain an important asset to the organization.
