European Union Policy Concerning Chemicals, Sustainability and Regulatory Strategy for Flame Retardants

next webinar feb 2024.png

The European Community has embarked on an ambitious goal of zero pollution.  Under its Green Deal policy initiatives of 2020, Europe strives to be the first climate-neutral continent by 2050.  The European Chemical Industry has voiced support of this strategy's goal of safe and sustainable chemicals.

European policy continues to evolve concerning chemicals used in commerce.  New approaches regulating chemical hazard classifications are being considered.  Some stakeholders have proposed hazard classification of chemical classes in lieu of risk assessment individual chemical compounds of concern.  This webinar will give the attendee updated information concerning the EU's  “Chemical Strategy for Sustainability” (2020) and  “Regulatory Strategy for Flame Retardants” (2023).  Additionally, other recent and pertinent EU topics regarding flame retardant additives may be discussed

Who Should Attend

Chemical Research & Development, Regulatory Personnel, Technical marketing & sales, management personnel from companies representing the supply chain, material scientists, fire safety educators, academia, government authorities and other interested stakeholders.
